Maxine (Weaver) and Paige (Hewitt) Conners have devised the perfect con. Mother Maxine gets a rich bachelor to marry her only to have her catch the helpless victim in the arms of the younger woman, who happens to be her daughter Paige. She then divorces them for a one off large sum and they are never seen again. After taking Dean Cummano (Liotta) for $300,000 and a new Mercedes, the pair move on to their next victim. This is to be their biggest con yet, Billionaire Cigarette mogul William B. Tensy (Hackman) should be worth $20 million easy, but nothing is ever easy. This is one not to miss if you are looking for a good comedic night out.

Finally a comedy that doesn't really on gross-out humour to get it laughs. This is an extremely well written and superbly acted comedy that hits on so many levels. The cast is tremendously good. Sigourney Weaver again shows she has a really gift for comedy, after last year's Galaxy Quest and the exceptionally beautiful Jennifer Love Hewitt proves she is more than just a loud scream and a large cleavage. It is Gene Hackman, who steals the show however. His portrayal of a chain smoking cigarette mogul is just a joy to behold and a total scene-stealer. He makes the movie worth seeing for his performance alone. This is one not to miss if you are looking for a good comedic night out.
